The new Sullivan County Horse Council is growing! Like every young organization we have had our share
of hiccups along the way but we are on the road to becoming a driving force in the equine community of Sullivan County.
However we are nothing without a strong membership base...we need YOU!
We have grown by leaps and bounds over the last three years but we have a LOT to do. Our purpose is to promote
and support the horse industry as a whole (including recreational back yard horse owners, breeders, show ring competitors,
trail riders, race horses, rescues, boarding facilities etc. EVERYONE matters!) but in order to do that we need to hear
We all know meetings are less than fun
(ok they're boring but we always have coffee and snacks!) but in order to provide you, the horse owners, what you need
to grow and expand we need to know what you would like to see us do in the future. Would you like to hear expert speakers?
Attend clinics? Have more trail rides? Shows? More interactive events such as Mounted Shooting or Ranch Sorting?
Come to a meeting and tell us what you'd like to see us do in the future to promote and educate the Sullivan
County horse industry and help make it better for everyone as a whole. We are here to do that but we need to know what the
equine enthusiasts of Sullivan County want . We strongly encourage you to attend a meeting and tell us
your thoughts and ideas...we meet every first Wednesday during the warmer months at the Cornell Co-Operative Extension
building in Liberty, NY.
If you can't make a meeting
than drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us your ideas. And as is always the case with organizations,
we need man and woman power...so if you have a little extra time that you can volunteer we are always happy to have an extra
set of hands. The more help we have, the more we can do!!
